East Highland seems to be Danny Alexander's Westminster seat but without the area around Loch Ness. The addition of Lochaber to West Highland and the loss of the Black Isle may make that a little trickier for the LDs, but I think overall it should still be OK (assuming Skye is actually part of this seat). And on paper I think North Highland is likely to be a bit safer for us.Bernard Salmonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16756716991445396009noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-346310154784158602.post-6736142249564434932008-02-14T15:16:00.000+00:002008-02-14T15:16:00.000+00:00I wondered if it had wandered off to join the West...I wondered if it had wandered off to join the Western Isles but it doesn't seem to be found there either.

Actually, from a Lib Dem perspective, I assume joining Skye to the Western Isles as a parliamentary constituency would be a welcome move as it quickens the chances of an eventual Lib Dem win there without causing any of the remaining Lib Dem safe seats to suffer.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
